This full-day experience begins in Avignon, where guests explore the historic centre, stroll through charming alleys, and admire the exterior of the Popes’ Palace, a UNESCO-listed landmark at the heart of the city’s papal history. Free time is included to enjoy Avignon’s atmosphere and discover its covered market or nearby cafés.
The journey then continues along the Southern Rhône Valley towards Châteauneuf-du-Pape, one of France’s most prestigious wine territories. Guests visit a selected wine cellar where they learn about the appellation, grape varieties, and terroirs, followed by a guided tasting of several Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines. The wines are explained in an accessible and informative way, suitable for both beginners and enthusiasts.
Set between historic heritage and renowned vineyards, this experience offers a balanced introduction to Avignon and the Châteauneuf-du-Pape wine region.
