Sicilian Country and Land Art -DOP cheese and BIO wine day tour

With this tour you'll get the opportunity to visit Contessa Entellina, located in the Belice Valley at the northern slopes of Mount Genuardo and surrounded by large countryside and thick woods. You'll be picked un in Palermo and visit this beautiful area! Then you'll enjoy a tasty DOP cheese tasting of Feudo Pollichino’s products and a BIO wine tasting with lunch at the Filari della Rocca winery. To end the tour, you'll visit the Cretto di Burri, known as the Great Cretto, a work of Land Art in Gibellina Vecchia.

10:30AM Arrival at Contessa Entellina, linguistic and religious oasis for the peculiar cultural identity of its inhabitants, and first Albanian colony founded in Italy.

11.30AM Cheese tasting in Feudo Pollichino – Ricotta, DOP Pecorino and Vastedda del Belice.

01:00PM Lunch and wine tasting at Filari della Rocca.

04:00PM Visit of the Cretto di Burri, a site-specific work of land art created by Alberto Burri where once the old city of Gibellina stood, completely destroyed in 1968 by the Belice earthquake.
