Garda nel Bicchiere Tasting at Tenuta Sgreva on Lake Garda

The experience was really great. Totally worth your money. The host is really friendly and knowledgeable. Delicious wines and you can order them shipped to you at home.

We arrived a little early and were greeted by our host, who seated us comfortably at our table and supplied us with bottles of water while we rested.
The wine tasting started promptly. The host was lovely, welcoming, engaging, spoke beautiful English, and encouraged us to ask any questions.
She guided us through the history of the family, the wine making process, showed us vineyard, wine cellar, and the wine processing area, before the tasting itself.
We tasted a number of delicious wines, paired with bread, olive oil, meat, cheese and honey. Our host described how best to extract different flavours from the wines. We were invited to choose our final glass from their whole range of wines, and we finished off with a shot of grappa.
Our host kindly ordered a taxi for us back to Sirmione - 20 Euros. The only negative in the experience is that it’s a long walk to get to the vineyard. I would advise the shuttle bus from Sirmione port to the town
Centre. It’s still a bit of a walk from there. We walked the whole way- 3 miles in the heat of the day!
Other than that, the experience was a real highlight of our holiday, and we’re hoping to purchase some Sgreva wine when we get back to the UK.

Fantastic experience learning about the Sgreva winemaking and tasting their beautiful wines with some lovely bread, meat and cheese. Chiara and Paolo were excellent hosts and very knowledgeable- Chiara in particular has a super way of integrating the members of the group and makes sure to talk and interact with everyone. We thoroughly enjoyed their hospitality and will be recommending this experience to anyone visiting Sirmione!
Try the Liber, it’s delicious!! A white wine with the taste profile of a red, we loved it!
