Half-Day From Bordeaux: Bordeaux Vineyard Off-the-Beaten-Path
Here is what's in store for you
Meet your guide in front of the Cité du Vin in Bordeaux, where you’ll be welcomed and introduced to the day’s program.
The wine tour begins with a visit to a winery in Entre-deux-Mers, a hilly region often nicknamed “Little Tuscany” for its landscapes and diverse wine production. After an introduction to the winemaking process, you will enjoy a tasting of the estate’s red and white wines.
The journey then continues south of Bordeaux to explore Pessac-Léognan, one of the most prestigious appellations in the region, renowned for producing some of Bordeaux’s finest red and white wines. You will learn about the winemaking techniques specific to this area, visit the vat room and barrel cellar, and taste both red and white wines from the estate.
By the end of the day, you will have discovered a lesser-known part of the Bordeaux vineyards and enjoyed wines with very distinct styles, offering an ideal introduction to the diversity of the Bordeaux wine region.
