Here is what's in store for you

Welcome to the Bordeaux Wine and Trade Museum (Musée du Vin et du Négoce)!

From Antiquity to the 20th century, discover the evolution of the city of Bordeaux and its commercial port open to the world. Retrace the footsteps of these families of merchants settled in the Chartrons, playing a significant role in the prosperity of the Bordeaux vineyards, to the point of making it an essential world reference. Through different historic objects and documents, the permanent collection of the Bordeaux Wine and Trade Museum teaches you about the evolution of the different techniques and tools related to wine: aging in barrels, bottles, labels and fashions that followed.

At the end of your visit, one of the wine tourism mediators will accompany you in explaining the Bordeaux vineyards and their appellation system during a commented tasting of two wines.

Wine History
This wine museum explains the history of wine shipping and the negotiants part in the wine trade. It was very interesting and well presented in an old wine storage cave. Well worth a visit.
