Ston Coastal Heritage Experience: Wine, Salt & Oyster Tasting
Here is what's in store for you
Set out on a scenic drive along the Adriatic coast toward Ston, a historic town that once guarded the prosperity of the Dubrovnik Republic. Surrounded by the longest stone walls in Europe, Ston is also home to one of the world’s oldest working saltworks, where salt has been harvested for more than 4,000 years.
During a guided visit to the salt pans, discover how this prized “white gold” shaped the region’s wealth and independence. The journey then continues to Mali Ston, a picturesque seaside village renowned for producing some of the finest oysters in the world.
At a charming waterfront restaurant, enjoy freshly harvested oysters paired with a glass of local Dalmatian wine, followed by a relaxed Dalmatian-style lunch inspired by coastal traditions. Before returning, take time at your own pace to walk a section of Ston’s walls, enjoy a quiet coffee in the square, or browse local artisan shops — a graceful balance of wine, gastronomy, and timeless coastal heritage.
