Here is what's in store for you
There are wineries you visit, and there are wineries that invite you in. This is the second kind. A small, family-run txakoli estate in the Basque Country where the owner does everything — the vines, the cellar, the cooking. No itinerary handed out at the door. No other operator holds access to this place.
The day begins with an aperitif among the vines, moves to a long home-cooked lunch at the table where the family eats, and continues for as long as the conversation and the bottles deserve. Every label in the cellar is available. No tasting menu, no curated selection. This is what wine travel looks like when it stops performing.
