Il Primo Passo: Valpolicella Tasting and Tour at Tedeschi wine

Your experience begins in Pedemonte, in the Classico heart of Valpolicella, where the Tedeschi family has farmed hillside vineyards for generations. 

You will be welcomed by Valentina from the estate's hospitality team, or by a member of the family, Antonietta, Sabrina, or Riccardo. The tour starts where the winemaking process begins, moving from the fermentation area to the barrel cellar. You'll learn how the local Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella grapes are transformed into wine before the tasting begins.

Next, you'll take a seat in the estate's tasting room for a guided tasting of five wines that trace the full arc of the territory, from light to powerful:

- Valpolicella DOC: The house's bright and easy-drinking red, with fresh red-cherry fruit, meant for the everyday table. 

- Valpolicella Ripasso DOC A step up in complexity. The young Valpolicella is re-fermented ("ripassed") on Amarone skins, giving it more body and notes of dried cherry and spice.

- Valpolicella Superiore, single-vineyard cru (1 & 2): You'll taste two distinct Superiore wines from two different hillside plots, side-by-side. It's a direct way to understand how terroir shapes the final wine, even within the same estate. 

- Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG "Marne 180": The summit of the tasting. Made from grapes dried for months using the *appassimento* method, this is a rich, full-bodied red with deep notes of dried fruit and spice—Valpolicella at its most powerful.

This tasting provides a complete path into Valpolicella's winemaking identity, guided by the family that has helped shape it.
