Armagnac Between Heritage and Innovation: Tour and Tasting at Château de Lacquy
Here is what's in store for you
Upon arrival at Château de Lacquy, in the heart of Bas-Armagnac, you will be welcomed to the oldest family-owned Armagnac estate, passed down through generations since 1711. Your visit begins with a journey through time, discovering the centuries-old history of this multi-generational estate and the legacy of a rare craftsmanship preserved for over three centuries.
Next, you will explore the vineyard of Château de Lacquy, a living ecosystem where our grape varieties – Folle Blanche, Baco, and Colombard – flourish on unique sandy-loam soils. This walk among the vines offers the opportunity to learn about our environmentally respectful cultivation methods and see how tradition and modern practices work together to preserve the quality of the Bas-Armagnac terroir.
The tour continues in our century-old cellar, an iconic space where Gascon oak casks rest. Here, history and innovation meet through rare vintages, limited editions, single varietals, and cask-strength Armagnacs. The experience concludes with a personalized tasting of several of our finest cuvées, selected according to your preferences, revealing the full aromatic richness and authenticity of Bas-Armagnac. A unique experience that blends history, terroir, and artisanal excellence.
