Here is what's in store for you
Immerse yourself in the Delights of Champagne with this tour designed to provide an intimate experience for a select group of enthusiasts.
Your journey begins at 9:20 AM in the outside forecourt of Reims Train Station, facing the park. Look out for the expert guide waiting with a gray Mercedes minivan parked in front of the Tourist Office to the right as you exit the station.
Your first destination is the captivating city of Reims, renowned for its vibrant City Centre filled with charm, layers of unique history, and regional culinary delights. Prepare to indulge in a guided tour and tasting at the world-famous Grande Maison de Champagne Veuve Clicquot (includes 4 glasses of Champagne). Discover the heritage and savoir-faire of Veuve Clicquot as you explore its unique chalk cellars and witness the meticulous Champagne-making process.
Following the tasting, you'll embark on a guided tour of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Cathedral of Reims. Admire the 13th-century Notre-Dame de Reims Cathedral, an architectural masterpiece and one of Europe's most significant Gothic structures. Prepare to be mesmerized by its grandeur, hypnotizing stained glass windows, and exceptionally rich statuary, including the famous Smiling Angel.
Enjoy a convivial lunch at a local restaurant including a starter, a main course, a glass of Champagne and a coffee before taking the road through the Grand Cru vineyards on the Mountain of Reims, following the scenic Route of Champagne. Marvel at the breathtaking landscapes adorned with fields of barley, vineyards, forests, and picturesque villages like Verzy, Verzenay, and Mailly. This region, dominated by the Pinot Noir varietal, boasts a special "terroir" that imparts power and character to Champagne. Pause in a tranquil vineyard setting to fully embrace the sensory delights of the surroundings.
Immerse yourself in the heart of Champagne's Vineyards as you arrive at a beautiful Champagne Grower's Family Estate. Over 4,000 family winemakers contribute to the prestige of Champagne, upholding tradition from one generation to the next with a shared goal of expressing the true essence of Champagne.
