Wonders of Ericeira & Mafra – Rural, Beach & Wine Tour from Lisbon
Here is what's in store for you
This full-day adventure starts with a pick-up from your accommodation at 9:00 AM, heading towards Mafra and Ericeira, two of Portugal’s most charming yet lesser-known regions.
The first stop is Mafra’s Convent, Portugal’s largest monument, a Baroque architectural masterpiece featuring 92 bells, 1,200 rooms, and 4,700 windows. Next, visit the José Franco Village, a unique open-air museum that recreates rural Portuguese life in the 1940s, showcasing traditions, labor activities, and daily customs.
Continuing to Ericeira, a picturesque fishing village perched on cliffs over the Atlantic, known for its charming streets, vibrant surf culture, and breathtaking beaches. Enjoy free time to explore the village, stroll along the seaside, or have a traditional Portuguese lunch (not included).
To end the tour, visit a family-run winery for an exclusive vineyard and cellar tour, where you’ll learn about Portugal’s rich winemaking traditions. The experience includes a wine tasting of six wines (four local selections and two exclusive wines), paired with local bread and olives.
This off-the-beaten-path experience is designed for those seeking a blend of history, nature, and wine, offering a deep dive into Portugal’s authentic culture and landscapes.
