Dozza: Wine, walk, culture in the heart of Emilia Romagna

Experience a unique wine tour and tasting experience of Emilia Romagna's finest wines with us!

We'll start the day with a stroll through the stunning art-filled medieval village of Dozza to admire some of the 200 murals, then, after a quick coffee, we'll leave the village for a 7 km walk through the vines and olives of the surrounding countryside. During the short hike, we'll stop at a small family-run winery in a gorgeous panoramic position to taste some of their excellent local variety wines, including Albana DOCG, Emilia Romagna's first DOCG certified white wine, together with some local specialty foods.

After strolling back to the village of Dozza, if you are still hungry, we can stop at one of the typical trattorias. Later, during the afternoon, we'll have a tour of the medieval castle, including the cellars where the Enoteca Regionale Emilia Romagna (regional wine producers' association) is based, and we can enjoy an informal tasting of some of the region's wines.
