Private Tour & Tasting with Pairings at Quinta de S. Sebastião, Lisbon

Your private experience at Quinta de S. Sebastião begins with a welcome from a team member certified by WSET or the Portuguese Sommelier Association. Your guide will lead you on a walk through the estate, sharing its history as you take in the architecture of the 18th-century manor house.

The tour continues with a visit to the estate's chapel, the historic wine cellar, the vineyards, and the horse riding arena, where you will meet the owner's Lusitano and Frisean horses.

The visit concludes on the terrace overlooking the arena for a guided tasting of six wines from the IG Lisboa S. Sebastião range, selected based on seasonal availability. The two whites are built around Arinto and Sauvignon Blanc, the range's white grapes. Arinto carries the bright, saline acidity that Lisboa whites are known for. The rosé is pale and dry. The three reds are the weight of the tasting, drawn mainly from the estate's Touriga Nacional and Syrah.

Winemaker Filipe Sevinate Pinto works with a low-intervention hand, so they lean toward ripe dark fruit and freshness rather than heavy oak.

With the wines comes a platter of local products: goat's and sheep's cheeses, cured Iberian black pork, regional bread with pumpkin jam, and assorted dried fruits.

Children are welcome and are offered non-alcoholic drinks to enjoy alongside the food.
