Wine Casino: Blind Tasting Challenge at Gikas Winery
Here is what's in store for you
Gikas Winery has been dedicated to vine cultivation and winemaking for four generations. Located in Spata, East Attica, the winery welcomes visitors into a unique space whose architecture is inspired by the old classical houses of Athens.
The experience begins with an introduction to the winery and its history. Afterwards, guests will take part in a fun “wine casino” activity: a blind tasting of 6 wines, where they will be invited to guess the grape variety of each one.
Gikas Winery mainly cultivates Greek grape varieties such as Assyrtiko, Savatiano, Malagouzia, and Vradiano, along with selected French varieties including Merlot, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
The tasting is accompanied by a plate of Greek cheeses and breadsticks, making this experience both educational and enjoyable for wine lovers.
