This tour, with pick-up and drop-off from the Florence Central National Library, will take you to the center of the most prized white wine of Tuscany, the Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG, a heart-shaped wine-growing area located all around San Gimignano and dedicated to the care of this unique vine. You will have the opportunity to visit 2 wineries among the top ones in the Vernaccia wine zone. Upon arrival, you will visit their cellars, take a walk into their vineyards accompanied by the winery's owners, and finally taste and compare their soft but complex white wines. You will taste 5 wines in each winery, getting to know only white wine that can be aged, in various Riserva wine, rosé wine, and sparkling wine versions, paired with local fresh products, from cheeses to cold cuts and mixed bruschetta topped with fresh tomatoes and topped with the wine farms' luscious extra virgin olive oil.
With a relaxing break of an hour between the two visits at the wineries, with this tour you will also get the chance to spend up to 1 or 1,5 hours in San Gimignano, also knowns as the New York of the middle-age because of its tall towers, and discover the splendor of a little piece of Tuscany's history.
