Artisanal Wine Tasting & Vineyard Tour at Antico Gelso in the Hills of Lake Garda
Here is what's in store for you
Your visit to Antico Gelso, a small, family-run winery near Lake Garda, is hosted by Emanuele or Daniela, the owners who personally manage every step of production. The experience begins with a walk into the vineyard to see the ancient mulberry tree that gives the estate its name, a silent witness to three generations of winemaking.
After learning about the family's history and their approach in the vineyard, you will move into the tasting room, a former stable that has been carefully renovated. Here, you will taste three estate wines, selected based on the season and availability. The flight can include Antico Gelso's Lugana, a red made from Merlot, and bottle-refermented sparkling wines in white or rosé.
The tasting is paired with Garda olive oil, local baked goods, and a selection of products from nearby artisans, such as Salame DE.CO. di Pozzolengo, Grana Padano, and robiola cheese. Youth and non-drinkers will be served fruit juices with the same selection of local products.
The experience concludes with a tour of the production area, one of the smallest in the Lugana DOC.

Beautiful experience
Small Winery, big Heart
It was a very interesting two hours and she loved it.
We started with a walk through the vineyards, where the owner told us the history of the winery. Then we took a tour of the estate and they explained the entire production process of their wine step by step.
Finally we tasted four of their wines, accompanied by an excellent platter of cured meats and cheeses. For each wine, they gave us detailed explanations and advice on the correct pairings. *We also had the opportunity to directly purchase the wines we tasted, so we could take a piece of the experience home with us.*
The winery is a bit hidden in the middle of the countryside, but it truly offers a beautiful experience for those who can appreciate the commitment and dedication of a family that has loved this work for generations and reaps its rewards.
The Tozzo family is an example of how even a small business can stand out and be on par with the large wineries that focus only on quantity.
We highly recommend it. If I had to describe the experience in a single word, I would choose QUALITY.
If you are lovers of Lugana then you absolutely must try their Lugana SOTTOSUOLO which, along with the Lugana BALLINO, are their flagship wines.
Exceptional
Passion knows no bounds
We also liked the cheese and cured meat pairings that he proposed.
We also recommend it to those who are not experts and want to get closer to wine.
