Private food tour Gastronomy in Lisbon with Ten Tastings
Here is what's in store for you
After meeting at Rossio Square, we’ll head to a historic former casino to taste some petiscos — Portugal’s version of tapas.
Next, we’ll continue to a local tavern for the chance to try the famous ginginha (cherry liqueur).
Our following stop will be at one of Lisbon’s oldest landmarks, the Convent of Carmo.
We will then walk through Bairro Alto, once the bohemian quarter of aristocrats and writers, and today the center of Lisbon’s nightlife.
From there, we will reach Camões Square, where I’ll introduce you to the story of Portugal’s extraordinary 16th-century voyages while you taste a traditional custard tart.
We’ll stop at a local spot known from Anthony Bourdain’s visit, the place where he tried the famous bifana (pork sandwich).
Walking along Garrett Street, you’ll learn about Lisbon’s strong coffee culture and pass by the oldest bookstore in the world still in operation.
We will finish the tour in a local wine house, where you’ll enjoy a cheese tasting paired with red wine.
