Pool Day, Wine Tasting & Lunch at Bosco de’ Medici in Pompeii

Your day at Bosco de' Medici is dedicated to relaxation, beginning with the morning spent by the estate's swimming pool. You'll be surrounded by vineyards, with Mount Vesuvius providing a constant backdrop.

Around midday, you'll move to the outdoor space reserved for wine experiences for a guided wine tasting and lunch. A sommelier will introduce you to five wines that express the volcanic terroir of the Vesuvius area. Depending on availability, the tasting may include estate labels such as Lacryma Christi Rosso DOC (Piedirosso and Aglianico), Lacryma Christi Bianco DOC (Caprettone and Falanghina), Pompeiano IGT Bianco from Caprettone, Pompeiano IGT Rosso from Piedirosso, and a sparkling Falanghina produced using the Charmat method. The exact wines served may vary.

Paired with the wines is the 'Vesuvio Menu'. It starts with a platter of local Campanian cured meats and cheeses, such as salame, prosciutto, provolone, caciocavallo, or others. This is followed by a main course of pacchero pasta with a classic tomato sauce, and concludes with a dessert.

After lunch, the rest of the afternoon is yours to enjoy back at the pool.
