Everything at Cantina Mir begins with a careful selection of high-quality Apulian grapes, enhanced by their unique ripening process and the winery’s distinctive geographical location. This guided tasting experience introduces you to Cantina Mir’s three aging methods — amphora, French oak barrels, and steel — offering a deeper understanding of how each technique shapes the final wine.
During the tasting, you will explore the character of six native Apulian grape varieties:
White wines: Verdeca, Bianco d’Alessano, and Minutolo
Red wines: Primitivo, Negroamaro, and Susumaniello
You will taste five wines, including two sampled directly from the aging vessels (amphora and tonneau), while enjoying a curated selection of local gourmet pairings designed to enhance the wines. The tasting includes taralli, olives, focaccia, mature and fresh local cheeses, cured meats, friselle, olive oil, mosto, and house-made chutneys.

A relaxing tasting
