Visit the highest active volcano in Europe, Mount Etna, walk over extinct craters, enjoy the breathtaking view from 2000 meters above sea level, and end the day tasting delicious wine born in the volcanic lands paired with local products!
You will be picked up from your hotel or accommodation, and from there you will begin your adventure! You will climb up to an altitude of 2000m to reach the Crateri Silvestri, extinct in 1892, from which you'll be able to observe a breathtaking view of Etna and the city of Catania. After discovering some interesting facts about past eruptions, you will descend toward Zafferana Etnea to begin your wine tasting experience.
Once arrived at a local winery, you will have the opportunity to taste some typical flavors and products of Etna, such as olive oil, sun-dried tomatoes, olives, and honey. Finally, the experience concludes with a tasting of 4 Etna wines accompanied by a rich and delicious lunch with many typical products, such as local cheese and cold cuts, sun-dried tomatoes, eggplant, olives, and other specialties depending on the season, such as couscous with vegetables and sausage, or legume soups.
