Full-Day Tour from Naples: Royal Palace of Caserta, Pompeii or Herculaneum & Cantina del Vesuvio

This full-day cultural and culinary experience features a guided journey through some of the most iconic sites in the Campania region: the Royal Palace of Caserta, the archaeological sites of Pompeii or Herculaneum, and a visit to the renowned Cantina del Vesuvio winery.

The day begins with a visit to the Royal Palace of Caserta, the largest royal residence in the world with over 1200 rooms, a monumental staircase, and two grand gardens—one in the English style and one Italian. Its immense central fountain and sweeping views make this UNESCO World Heritage Site a must-see destination. 

Next, travelers can choose between two of the area’s most famous archaeological sites:
- Herculaneum, a once-wealthy residential city believed to have been founded by the Greek hero Hercules, discovered in 1738. Its luxurious villas and remarkably preserved frescoes survived under layers of volcanic rock.
- Pompeii, a vast Roman city buried in ash after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD, spans over 65 hectares. Excavations are ongoing, revealing discoveries each year. Hiring a professional guide (optional) is highly recommended to fully understand the layout and the significance of its most important structures.

The final stop is at Cantina del Vesuvio, located on the lower slopes of Mount Vesuvius with panoramic views of the Bay of Naples. The visit includes a guided walk through the 4-hectare estate, located near the archaeological park of Pompeii.
