Your visit to Cantina Baldassarri begins with a welcome from your host, Francesco. He will share the story of his family's winery, founded by his grandfather, before guiding you on a tour through the estate's flagship vineyard and into the cellar. Here, you'll follow the winemaking process from grape to bottle, learning about the traditions that shape Umbrian wine.
After the tour, you will settle in for a guided tasting. Depending on the season, this takes place in the elegant, climate-controlled tasting room or on the covered porch overlooking the landscape. You will taste four wines, typically two whites and two reds, focusing on native varieties like Grechetto and Sagrantino, alongside international ones such as Viognier and Merlot. The tasting is paired with bruschetta, drizzled with the estate's own extra virgin olive oil.
This experience welcomes families; children can join the tour, and non-alcoholic drinks are provided for them during the tasting.
