Donna Emma Tour, Tasting, and Tuscan Lunch at Villa Dianella in Chianti
Here is what's in store for you
Your experience at Villa Dianella begins in the historic cellars, where you will be welcomed by the reception staff and a sommelier. They will guide you through the estate's winemaking process, from the oak barrels to the underground cellar and aging areas.
The tour covers the history of the villa's production, including a look at the ancient bottling and corking systems. Following the visit, you will move to the tasting room for the main part of your experience.
Here, a sommelier will lead a guided tasting of four Dianella wines. The selection changes based on the season but typically includes one white wine like Vermentino and two reds such as Chianti and Le Veglie di Neri, a blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon, plus a taste of Dianella Vendemmia Tardiva. For those interested in a deeper exploration, a Premium tasting option is available, featuring three prestigious vintage or award-winning wines such as red Il Matto delle Giuncaie or white Orpicchio.
The tasting is paired with a full Tuscan lunch. You will be served a selection of bruschetta, local cold cuts including Tuscan ham, salami, and finocchiona, and two types of pecorino cheese. This is followed by a seasonal first course, such as pasta with meat or tomato sauce, and concluded with traditional Tuscan almond cantucci. For children, the same menu is offered with fruit juice, or a simple pasta with white sauce can be requested.
