This tour provides an introduction to Chartrons, which is also known as an old wine merchant district in the heart of Bordeaux.
These streets, dating back to the 17th century, are home to some of the most emblematic monuments in Bordeaux. You will walk for about 1 hour to discover this charming neighborhood while listening to the stories of wine merchants & learning about the world-famous Bordeaux wines.
Together with your guide, you will have the opportunity to learn about:
- The different grape varieties in Bordeaux
- The oldest and most popular Classification in the world
- The different wine regions in Bordeaux
- How to read a French wine label
- Why Mr. Thomas Jefferson was in Bordeaux and many other interesting facts & figures about Bordeaux wine
At the end of the tour, you will enjoy a blind tasting of 4 Bordeaux organic wines paired with 3 kinds of cheese and baguette. Cheers!
