Comprehensive Ribera del Duero Wine Day Tour from Madrid
Here is what's in store for you
We start the tour with free pick-up from a central location in Madrid, ensuring a smooth and comfortable beginning to your wine experience.
Our journey takes us toward Burgos in the Ribera del Duero region, specifically to La Aguilera, known as “the old vines plots town.”
Our first stop is the internationally awarded Dominio de Cair. Here, we’ll enjoy a full guided tour of the winery, including a tasting directly from the barrel, followed by three signature wines: Selección de la Aguilera, Tierras de Cair, and Cruz del Pendón, each paired with a traditional aperitif.
Next, we visit Alvides, a family-owned winery now run by three cousins who took over the project after years of working with a French winemaker. Their wines reflect both heritage and innovation – true examples of modern Ribera craftsmanship.
By now, it’s time for a well-deserved lunch. At Bodegas Nabal, we’ll enjoy a selection of tapas paired with three house wines, including a standout Rosé, as well as Crianza and Reserva labels.
To close the day, we head to Valdubón, where Laura will welcome us for a final tasting of three wines. At this point in the day, we know everyone’s ready for something sweet, so we’ll pair the wines with artisan chocolates for a perfect finish.
In total, expect to taste at least 12 different wines, enjoy generous tapas, and spend the day immersed in the soul of Ribera del Duero.
