Alsace Wine Tasting at Domaine Étienne Simonis, Ammerschwihr
Here is what's in store for you
From the moment you arrive at Domaine Étienne Simonis, in Ammerschwihr on the Alsace Wine Route, you step into a real working cellar. The large oak barrels date from the post-war years, the stainless steel tanks reflect the light, and the barrels smell of wood. It is alive, concrete, and entirely authentic. Within a few minutes, Étienne or Katia tells you the story of this family estate, founded in 1660.
Three wines are selected with you, according to your tastes — classic Alsatian wines from our biodynamic farming, certified Demeter since 1999. Each wine is commented on: what we did, what we chose not to do, and what the terroir gave us. A tasting that means something.
After the tasting, all our wines are available for purchase on site. If something touched you in the glass, you leave with it. And if you are travelling by plane, train, or bicycle, we ship directly to your home.
