A Cozy Winter Journey Between Olive Oil and Wine in Imperia, at Saglietto
Here is what's in store for you
On the hills that rise above the Ligurian Sea, the small village of Poggi is home to the Saglietto family, who have taken care their olive trees and vineyards here for generations. Here you can experience a place full of history. Two old olive mills once faced each other across the tiny village square: one is now a small olive oil museum, while the other has been restored into a warm stone tasting room, preserving the charm of its rural past.
The room has a door opening onto the village and another leading to the garden, shaded by a 250-year-old Aleppo pine that frames an unforgettable view of the vineyards and the Ligurian Sea.
Your visit begins with the historic olive oil mill museum, where traditional tools and family stories reveal the long heritage of olive oil production in western Liguria. Then, enjoy a tasting of local wines, including Pigato and Vermentino in three expressions, paired with Ligurian specialties such as focaccia, torta verde, farinata, and Saglietto’s own Taggiasca Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
Slow down, taste, and feel the essence of our land. We would love to show you what we cherish.

Where we are and how to reach us
To reach the village of Poggi (18100, Imperia), we recommend taking "Strada Comunale Poggi - SP 96" (avoid the detour to Salita Aicardi). Once you have parked in the church square, continue on foot along the pedestrian alleys heading toward the sea. In about 4 minutes, you will arrive at the property. The entrance is at Via A. Carli 21, accessible only on foot, as the area is pedestrian-only.
