Wine Tasting & Winery Tour at Quinta dos Sentidos

I was looking for birthday gifts for my parents and decided to book the Winery tour with wine tasting and tapas at Quinta dos Sentidos as something a little bit different. So that we could all enjoy the tasting, I easily booked an Uber there and back from the coast.

The winery is set on a beautiful vineyard estate outside Silvas in a lovely setting with fabulous views.
The winemaker André gave us the tour of the winery and olive oil pressing process which was interesting and his passion for his work truly shows. We then had a tasting of 4 -5 different wines and 3 olive oils along with generous and delicious tapas; both fish and meat & cheese platters which had been made onsite.

Of course, we had to stock up on our preferred wines and olive oil to take with us before we left very happy!

I recommend getting the tapas.
We found the Colheita olive oil was unique flavour and we purchased to take a bottle with us. It was just as good when we had it at home.
The wines tasted were across white, rose and red - with different bodies in the white and red - We brought home bottles of the Visao Rose which is a lovely light rose and the Tato tino as we prefer a full bodied red. The Tato branco is has a lovely flavour of the oak barrel with the Paladar branco a lighter flavour

We had a wonderful experience at this vineyard! The wine tasting was beautifully curated, with a great selection of local wines and plenty of interesting insights about the winemaking process. The setting was stunning and the staff incredibly welcoming. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a relaxed and authentic wine experience.

Our vineyard and wine tasting tour in Portugal was an unforgettable experience. Guided personally by Beat, we were amazed by the sheer variety of fruits on the land and the meticulous care poured into every aspect of the vineyard.

This retirement project has clearly become a labor of love, resulting in wines that are nothing short of spectacular. Every sip reflected the dedication and attention to detail that define their process.

Beyond the wine, the owner’s passion and vision gave us hope for the future, showing how great things can flourish with care and commitment. It’s more than a wine tour—it’s an inspiring story. Highly recommend!
