Vineyard and Cellar Tour & Tasting with the Winemaker at Armide in Montecarlo
Here is what's in store for you
Beatrice Carmignani, one of the sisters and the estate's winemaker, will welcome you to Armide to share the story of her family's wine project. The experience begins with a walk through the vineyard rows, where you'll learn about the grape varieties they cultivate, before moving into the cellar to see where the winemaking takes place.
The visit concludes with a guided tasting, held on the winery’s patio or inside the cellar. Taste three wines representing the core of Armide’s production: an IGT Toscana Bianco made from Trebbiano and Vermentino, an IGT Toscana Rosso produced from Sangiovese, Canaiolo, and Malvasia, and an IGT Toscana Frizzante Bianco made from Verdea grapes.
You can expand the tasting by choosing the “Harmony” option, which adds a Moscato Rosé for a total of four wines, or the “Roots” option, which includes five wines and completes the selection with a passito made from Trebbiano and Colombana. You can also choose to accompany your tasting with a platter of local cheeses and cold cuts, including Tuscan prosciutto crudo, salame, and pecorino.
This is an opportunity to hear the story behind each label directly from the person who crafts the wines.
