Wine tasting experience at Fuocomuorto Winery

With this tour you will visit Fuocomuorto Winery, which is the most characteristic and oldest winery in the Vesuvian area dug under the lava rock of the January eruption in 1037.

At your arrival you will be welcomed by the staff with an introduction of the history of the family and the company. You'll then visit the vineyards, in particular the terraced ones that overlook the Gulf of Naples with a breathtaking view from Sorrento, passing through Capri, Ischia, Procida,with the great cone of Vesuvius behind, all in a corner with benches of wood and the coolness of a pergola of white grapes.
After this you'll visit the Natural Cave, the old cellar where grapes were vinified from 1780 and until 1906. The cellar that you'll see is under the slab of lava rock datin back to the eruption of Vesuvius in January 1037.
Today these areas are used to refine the red wines in oak barrels and as a deposit of bottled wines before the sale.

By booking this experience, you will be served: a cutting board with bruschetta with Vesuvius cherry tomatoes, a bruschetta with eggplant in oil and another with zucchini in oil, olives in water and salt, casatiello (typical Neapolitan rustic dish), various cold cuts and cheeses, paired with two glasses of wine, Vesuvio Lacryma Christi Bianco and Vesuvio Lacryma Christi Rosso.
