Wine Tasting and Guided Tour at La Closerie de Fronsac
Here is what's in store for you
In the heart of Bordeaux’s smallest appellation lies La Closerie de Fronsac, one of its most intimate estates — a hidden gem nestled in the rolling hills of Fronsac, often called the "Bordeaux Tuscany" or the region’s “secret garden.” Here, history, nature, and wine come together in a serene and authentic atmosphere.
Your guided visit, led exclusively by the cellar master, begins with an introduction to the estate’s 18th-century Girondine house, a fine example of the architecture from Bordeaux’s golden era, when fine wines shaped the region’s identity. You'll then explore the winery and learn about the process behind crafting fine wines, from vine to barrel aging.
The tour continues with an overview of Bordeaux’s iconic terroirs, focusing especially on the Right Bank — the birthplace of Merlot and home to Fronsac, Saint-Émilion, and Pomerol. The visit ends with a guided tasting of 4 wines from La Closerie de Fronsac, each expressing the richness and diversity of our terroir through a parcel-by-parcel approach. For an additional price, you can enhance your tasting with a cheese platter.
