Departing from your accommodation in Naples, the tour begins with a wine experience at the Sorrentino Winery, a state-of-the-art estate among experimental and ancient vineyards on volcanic soils dating back to 79 A.D. Following a brief historical introduction to the vineyard and family of the Sorrentino Winery, you will be guided by a family member to one of the terraced vineyards and then guided to the exclusive 79AD area, where you will be able to literally touch with your own hands the ash that covered Pompeii on August 24, 79AD during the famous volcano eruption.

After the tour, lasting about 50 minutes, you'll be escorted to the winery's restaurant, where you will enjoy a 4-course lunch on the exclusive terrace under the pergola, prepared using seasonal and local products. You will also enjoy a tasting of 7 wines, led by an experienced Sommelier from the European School of Sommeliers who will be at your disposal for the duration of the experience, and who will not only tell you stories, anecdotes, and trivia about the wines provided, but will also point out the basics and techniques of wine inspection and organoleptic analysis so that you can better understand and appreciate the sensory experience, and to understand why certain wine and food pairings and techniques are used.

At the end of the wine experience, you will be transferred to Pompeii, where an expert guide will be ready to welcome you and guide you.
