Azeitão Wine, Art & Torta Experience from Lisbon
Here is what's in store for you
Visit and wine tasting in Azeitão with pick-up in Lisbon or at the hotel in a private van, we’ll drive for 45 minutes south to Azeitão village, popular for the great wines, including the Moscatel of Setúbal, sweet tarts, and amazing cheeses.
On arrival, get to know the history of the village, taste the famous Torta de Azeitão (tart with eggs, corn flour, cinnamon and egg cream), followed by an unforgettable visit to the winery, including the vineyards, and discover its history, which brings together wine, nature and art in a guided tour of 60 minutes.
Discover different collections divided into three thematic groups: expository "Out of Africa" is an exhibition dedicated to the Queen Ginga, “Forgotten Generation” dedicated to three artists marked by the Holocaust period, and “The Portuguese Tiles” from the XVI to XX Century used so lush and unparalleled in any European country.
The guided tour will end at the shop for tasting a white wine, a red wine, and the Moscatel of Setúbal. Time to admire the tranquil scene of the Japanese garden, in which some of the works of the sculptor Niizuma are exhibited, along with a Kaki tree, the 'great-granddaughter' of the only tree to survive the Nagasaki bomb. Also present are some olive trees with thousands of years old. Afterwards, you'll return to Lisbon.
