Biodynamic Wine Tasting & Vineyard Tour at Clos de Basella in L'Empordà
Here is what's in store for you
Join us for a unique experience at Clos de Basella, located in Siurana d’Empordà, a charming village surrounded by vineyards, wheat fields, and olive groves — a living portrait of the classical Mediterranean landscape. Nestled between the Costa Brava and the Eastern Pyrenees, and shaped by the Tramuntana wind, this land gives rise to wines full of character, authenticity, and a deep connection to nature.
The experience begins with a peaceful walk through the organic vineyards of Clos de Basella, where you’ll discover how biodiversity allows the vines to thrive. You’ll learn about biodynamic philosophy and how the winery respects nature’s rhythms and cycles. The visit then continues inside the winery, where you’ll be guided through the winemaking process.
The experience concludes with a guided tasting of 5 organic and biodynamic wines, 3 of them Premium, each expressing the distinctive identity of this exceptional terroir — an opportunity to savour wine in a serene and welcoming atmosphere, share impressions, and experience the Green Winery of l’Empordà up close.

Wine and Food Tasting
A personal and honest tasting, wines with great personality
The service was excellent, personal, and unhurried, which made the experience feel very authentic and comfortable. As a special touch, they let us try a wine that had been open for several days after being uncorked, something unusual in a tasting and which allowed us to really appreciate the quality and evolution of the wines over time.
You can tell the care taken both in the vineyard and in the winemaking, and the experience conveys honesty and passion for the product.
As an improvement, the accompaniment during the tasting could be a bit more complete. We understand that it's not always part of the experience, but having some small food pairing (for example, cheeses, olive oil, or a vegetarian option) would help to round out the tasting even more and to better enjoy the wines.
