Up and down on a Vespa
The second tasting was in Barbaresco at the Montaribaldi winery. Antonella, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. She had us taste several wines so we could compare them. The place is also stunning, with a wonderful view of the vineyards.
Visit the piazza at the top of Monforte d'Alba (where the Monfortinjazz festival is held), the climb is tough but then it's nice to relax in the amphitheater with the piped music.
Taste the hazelnut cream, not the one with chocolate, the one made only from hazelnuts! Here they use it with both sweet and savory dishes.
