Winegrowers in Languedoc since 1605, the Fabre family welcomes you to Château de Luc for an immersive journey through history, terroir, and organic winemaking in the heart of southern France.

Jeanne, Fanny, and Mélanie will guide you through this historic family estate, currently undergoing an exciting phase of renewal, offering a unique experience that blends wine, culture, and heritage. The visit begins with the discovery of the Yellow Lounge and continues into the impressive 14th-century underground cellar, where centuries of winemaking history come to life.

As you explore the estate, you’ll retrace the key moments that shaped the Languedoc vineyards and landscapes — from the prosperity of the 19th century to the famous winegrowers’ revolt of 1907. Through stories and places, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of how history, climate, and human dedication have influenced the identity of this remarkable terroir.

The experience concludes in the former stable, now transformed into a welcoming tasting cellar, where you will enjoy a guided tasting of 5 organic wines. The selection includes labels from IGP Pays d’Oc and prestigious appellations such as AOC Languedoc, Corbières, and Minervois, showcasing the diversity and elegance of the region.

Château de Luc offers easy access parking and is conveniently located close to the motorway and the city of Carcassonne.
The entrance to the cellar is on the right of the stairs at the very end of the courtyard, opposite the cellar car parking on Rue Jean Moulin.

Fabulous wine tasting and tour

Great experience with a tour of the Chateau and Wine tasing with Charcuterie board. Our tour guide Fanny was super friendly and very knowledgeable and spoke very good English, which was a bonus. We had a tour of the Chateau and wine cellar and it was very interesting and full of history about the Chateau and the wine process. We then did the tasting and tried many wonderful wines along with a tasty Charcuterie board. Our guide Fanny went above and beyond to make our visit truly memorable. Thank you. I would highly recommend a visit to this beautiful place.
