This easy cycling itinerary combines wine, gastronomy, culture, and outdoor exploration, allowing you to enjoy Burgundy at your own pace with the support of a GPS app and detailed road book provided after booking.
Your experience begins at the Active Tours agency in the historic center of Dijon, conveniently located near the train station. Here, you will receive your bike, helmet, GPS setup, road book, and your return train ticket from Nuits-Saint-Georges back to Dijon.
Leaving Dijon along dedicated cycling paths, you will arrive at the renowned Château de Marsannay, where you will enjoy a guided visit and tasting of 6 wines. From there, the journey continues through the famous vineyards of Marsannay, Fixin, Gevrey-Chambertin, Morey-Saint-Denis, Chambolle-Musigny, Vougeot, Vosne-Romanée, and Nuits-Saint-Georges.
As you pedal through what is often called the “Champs-Élysées of Burgundy”, you will cross the heart of the Côte de Nuits, home to 28 of Burgundy’s 33 Grand Cru vineyards.
In Chambolle-Musigny, known for producing some of the most elegant and refined red wines of Burgundy, you will stop for a traditional gourmet lunch in a local restaurant.
The tour continues past the iconic Château du Clos de Vougeot, one of Burgundy’s most emblematic wine monuments, before reaching the legendary Romanée-Conti vineyard, considered one of the most prestigious wine plots in the world.
Your final stop takes place in Nuits-Saint-Georges, where you will visit another winery and enjoy an additional tasting of 4 wines, bringing the total to a minimum of 8 wines tasted during the day.
At the end of the experience, you will comfortably return to Dijon by train.
