Private Wine Tour in Ribera del Duero from Madrid
Here is what's in store for you
Discover Ribera del Duero, one of Spain’s most renowned wine regions in the world, with this private day tour!
Ribera del Duero is situated on the country’s northern plateau, about two hours north of Madrid, along the Duero River. While wine has been produced in the region for thousands of years, viticulture, as we know it today, was brought to the region by French Benedictine monks from Cluny, in Burgundy, during the XII century. The region's wines today enjoy great popularity, thanks mostly to the great efforts of experienced growers and winemakers.
You will be picked up in Madrid by your private guide. After a 2-hour drive, you will visit two wineries. Each winery visit will include a tour of the facilities, with an explanation of how the wine is made, followed by a tasting.
After visiting the two wineries, you will enjoy a traditional three-course lunch with wine and coffee. After lunch, you can visit a historical place nearby, or head back to Madrid, depending on the time.
