Private Setúbal Wine Region Tasting Tour from Lisbon

Embark on a full-day private wine adventure through the Setúbal Wine Region, departing from Lisbon. This curated experience includes visits to selected regional wineries, tastings of local wines, traditional delicacies, and stunning views of the Arrábida mountain range.

You can choose between two tour options:
Option 1: Visit 3 wineries with 10 wine tastings, plus a tasting of local cheese, chorizo, and bread.
Option 2: Visit 2 wineries with 7 wine tastings, followed by a full traditional lunch in a small family-owned restaurant in Palmela, including entrées, a main course (fish or meat), dessert, and beverage (wine or other).

Your journey begins in Azeitão, famed for its wines and cheese, where you’ll dive into the region's winemaking heritage. The itinerary includes stops at various wineries, depending on availability and weather.

Wineries may include:
- José Maria da Fonseca (always part of the tour): one of Portugal’s oldest family-owned wineries, active since 1834.
- Quinta do Alcube: a century-old family estate, ideal for discovering the agricultural side of winemaking.
- Setúbal Region’s “Mother House”: represents all 24 wineries of the region under one roof, offering a comprehensive tasting.
- Adega Cooperativa de Palmela: a larger, more industrial winery offering insights into high-volume production, especially vivid during harvest season.

In addition to the tastings, marvel at the Arrábida Natural Park landscapes and enjoy insights into its natural and historical significance.
