Private Full-day Tour to Montepulciano and Orvieto with wine tasting from Rome
Here is what's in store for you
Set off on a private day trip from Rome to Tuscany and immerse yourself in landscapes that seem straight out of a storybook. The Tuscan countryside is filled with winding roads that meander through gentle hills, vineyards, olive groves, castles, farms, and solitary cypress trees—some of Italy's most iconic scenes. Along the way, you'll visit Montepulciano, where a delightful wine-tasting experience awaits. After a guided tour of the estate, you will enjoy a tasting of three different wines, including the most appreciated, Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG, accompanied by local cured meats, cheeses, and excellent homemade olive oil on toasted local bread.
Your private driver will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to a stunning wine estate in Tuscany’s renowned "Vino Nobile" wine region, spanning over 50 hectares and offering breathtaking views. Montepulciano, perched on Monte Poliziano, is a picturesque town that’s a dream for wine enthusiasts. After the wine experience, you will have time to stroll around these pedestrian cobblestone streets of Montepulciano and explore its artisans’ shops.
On the return to Rome, you’ll stop in the charming city of Orvieto, a Medieval town uniquely set atop a rock cliff. This stop gives you a chance to explore the city's landmarks, like its famous squares: one holding its magnificent cathedral, and another overlooking the scenic Orvieto countryside. After a leisurely stroll, you’ll head back to your hotel in Rome.
