Priorat Wine Tour in 4x4 and Sitges

Exploring Priorat in a 4×4 vehicle can be an exciting and unique experience, as it allows you to access remote areas and enjoy stunning landscapes.

We will leave Barcelona aboard our vehicle, travelling through the beautiful landscapes of the route. Firstly, we will pass through the capital of Priorat, in Falset, and we will visit the Wine Catadral through an outside visit. It is a winery or rather an architectural jewel between modernism and novocentism.

Exposed brick, stone, plaster and ceramics are combined to achieve a characteristic aesthetic and striking shapes. Large classically inspired arches, lots of light in the interiors and all the technological details of the time applied to winemaking.

With the arrival of phylloxera in the 19th century, Catalan farmers became impoverished and cooperatives were born as an opportunity to unite among themselves.

The personal and financial contributions of the village’s farmers and the support of the Catalan Commonwealth made the construction of the current Celler Cooperatiu possible. This winery was designed by Cèsar Martinell y Brunet, a Catalan architect and disciple of Gaudí.

Next we will arrive at GRATALLOPS, the heart of the Priorat. Upon arrival in the area we will go to one of the most beautiful and incredible wineries in the region. We will take a 4×4 vehicle, you could explore scenic routes that lead through the vineyards, hills and mountains of the winery. The guide will point out points of interest and provide information about the geology and local flora.

They will show us the different varieties, and how they care for the vineyards, with their philosophy of biodynamic cultivation that allows for vibrant and healthy vineyards.

At the end of the tour, we will return to the winery to taste our precious wines and extra virgin olive oil.

The wine tasting will be combined with:

Cheeses pairing: taste a variety of artisanal cheeses specially selected for each wine. Additional cost €20 per person.

Chocolate pairing: try different artisanal chocolates designed to pair with our wines and create a delicious experience. Additional cost €20 per person.

Time for Lunch (not included)

In the afternoon, we will head to Barcelona. However, to finish our fantastic day, we will take the coastal highway, for a lovely walk through the town of Sitges. It is a spectacular end to a magnificent day.

Sitges is a charismatic town, with its own identity just 30 km from Barcelona. Sitges has a charming and picturesque atmosphere with narrow cobbled streets, traditional white houses and typical architecture of the Mediterranean coast. The old town is particularly attractive and offers an authentic experience.

We can stroll along the seafront promenade and relax on one of its terraces. The city has attracted artists and intellectuals for decades, and this is reflected in its numerous museums and art galleries.
