Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed with a refreshing welcome drink and aperitif, followed by a friendly introduction to the family who will guide you through this unforgettable culinary experience.
Together, you’ll discover the secrets of cherished family recipes passed down through generations, learning to prepare authentic Portuguese dishes using fresh, local ingredients. The menu includes Pataniscas de Bacalhau (traditional codfish fritters) as a starter, accompanied by a fresh salad or steamed vegetables, followed by a main course of meat or fish, and ending with the iconic Pastéis de Nata for dessert. The menu can be easily adapted to dietary preferences or requirements.
Throughout the experience, you’ll receive hands-on guidance, practical cooking tips, and cultural insights. After cooking, everyone will sit together to enjoy the meal, sharing stories, laughter, and the flavors of Portugal while overlooking the city.

Where we are and how to reach us
Our cooking class takes place at Rua do Amial 723, 4250-062 Porto, in a welcoming family home with a beautiful terrace where you can enjoy the atmosphere of a true Portuguese neighborhood.
You can easily reach us by bus — lines 600 or 704 all stop nearby.
If you prefer the metro, the nearest stations are I.P.O. and Pólo Universitário (Yellow Line), both about a 10-minute walk from the house. At the entrance of the house, you’ll find a pharmacy called “Via Amial” — that’s the easiest landmark to know you’ve arrived at the right place.
