Lisbon Tapas-Style Petiscos & Wine Crawl Tour
Here is what's in store for you
Experience Lisbon through its vibrant petiscos culture, where small plates, good drinks, and lively conversation come together. These traditional Portuguese appetizers are meant to be shared and enjoyed slowly, usually accompanied by a refreshing beer or a glass of vinho verde, creating the perfect atmosphere to relax and connect with fellow food lovers.
Lisbon’s hills are famous, and climbing them is part of the adventure—but every stop along the way rewards you with delicious local flavors. As the birthplace of petiscos, Lisbon offers the ideal setting to discover some of the country’s most beloved specialties. During the tour, you’ll taste classic dishes such as chouriço assado (flame-grilled sausage), peixinhos da horta (crispy fried green beans), and bolinhos de bacalhau (traditional codfish fritters), along with other authentic bites.
Along the route, your host will also share fascinating stories about Lisbon’s past, revealing the events and traditions that shaped the city’s culture and culinary identity.
The experience takes you to four carefully selected local venues, each offering a different glimpse into Lisbon’s food scene. You’ll begin at a traditional mercearia, a delicatessen-style shop where locals gather to enjoy Portuguese cheeses paired with Port wine. The journey continues to a charming restaurant located in a historic building, where traditional recipes are presented with a modern twist and paired with excellent Alentejo wines.
You’ll also visit a lively tasca, the quintessential Portuguese tavern known for its warm, family-style atmosphere. Here, classic dishes are elevated with contemporary touches while still honoring authentic local ingredients and traditions.
The tour concludes on a sweet note with one of Lisbon’s most iconic treats: the famous Pastel de Nata, a perfectly baked custard tart with a golden crust and creamy filling.
This food tour offers an authentic way to explore Lisbon’s gastronomy, history, and neighborhoods—far from the usual tourist crowds.
