Private Half-Day Chianti Rufina Tour with Lunch, from Florence
Here is what's in store for you
Your day begins with a private pickup from your accommodation in Florence. Your guide, a certified sommelier, will introduce you to the Chianti Rufina region during the 40 to 60-minute drive into one of Tuscany's most historic wine territories, located on the slopes of the Apennines.
The tour is led by your personal sommelier for the entire day and includes visits to two different boutique wineries, such as Tenuta Borgo Macerato or Tenuta Bossi, selected based on availability. At each estate, you'll have a guided tasting of 3 to 4 wines, for a total of about 8 wines throughout the day. The selection typically showcases the region's range, from young Chianti to Chianti Riserva and Gran Selezione, along with Super Tuscan wines. An olive oil tasting is also included.
At one of the wineries, you'll be served a traditional three-course Tuscan lunch. The seasonal menu often features an appetizer of local cheeses, Prosciutto, and Pappa al Pomodoro, followed by a fresh pasta course and a classic dessert. Participants under 18 will be served lunch with non-alcoholic beverages.
After the final visit, your driver will bring you back to your accommodation in Florence.
