Crete: Gourmet Organic Wine Tour in the Heraklion Wine Region

Embark on a premium wine journey through the Heraklion wine region and discover the rich heritage, innovation, and authenticity of Cretan viticulture.

Led by a local wine expert with more than 10 years of experience in the area, this tour takes you to 2 small boutique organic wineries, each with its own unique identity. One estate stands out for its modern, eco-conscious approach, while the other offers a more traditional and atmospheric setting, allowing you to experience two different expressions of Cretan winemaking.

During the visits, you will explore vineyards, discover historic cellars, and learn more about organic and biodynamic practices, low-intervention production, local grape varieties, and the ancient wine culture of Crete.

The tasting experience includes 6 organic wines at each winery, for a total of 12 tastings. You will sample a diverse selection of Cretan wines, from crisp whites and elegant rosés to expressive reds, complex blends, orange or amber wines, unfiltered low-intervention labels, and a sweet dessert wine.

The experience continues with a gourmet lunch paired with 5 local wines. The menu includes a fresh salad, 2 stages of artisanal starters, a traditional local main course, and a dessert carefully chosen to complement the final wine.
