Full-day Northern Rhône Valley Wine tour from Lyon, Valence or Tain l'Hermitage

Explore the native lands of Syrah and Viognier during this trip to the Northern Rhône!

You will start your wine journey in the town of Ampuis, the birthplace of the Côte-Rôtie appellation. You will discover the steep slopes of one of the oldest vineyards in France. During a visit and tasting of at least 5 wines at a winery in the heart of the vineyards, you will understand the origins of this exceptional wine. The sun exposure and the rich and complex terroir of this land are perfect for the Syrah. Lunch in a local restaurant will follow.

In the afternoon, you will head south to the vineyards of Condrieu. Here you will visit another local wine estate where you will witness how terroir, grape variety and winemaker make a wine unique. During the tasting, you will enjoy all the aromatic richness of these great wines. You will end your day with an estate of the appellation Saint-Joseph, a little further south, where you will discover a little more rustic style of wine with expressive spice aromas. The biggest AOC of the territory, Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu and Saint-Joseph will delight you!
