A guided culinary journey to discover the best Tuscan and Italian cheeses, expertly paired with selected wines.
At 10:00 AM, your professional, English-speaking guide will meet you directly in your hotel lobby to begin the tour. Your guide will lead you on a pleasant walk through the streets of Florence, sharing stories about the city's culinary history and traditions.
You will be taken to Formaggioteca Terroir, a highly acclaimed and award-winning shop known for its exceptional selection of Italian and French cheeses. The experience will take place in a dedicated tasting area, where you'll be guided through a curated selection of artisanal and aged cheeses.
During the tasting, your guide and the experts at Formaggioteca will explain the characteristics of each cheese, from fresh sheep's milk cheeses to the most intense blue cheeses, detailing their production techniques and origins. The tasting will be accompanied by a selection of local wines, chosen specifically to enhance the flavors of the cheeses.
If Formaggioteca Terroir is not available, the tour will proceed to Vino al Vino, another renowned wine shop and cheesemonger in the heart of Florence, which offers an equally excellent cheese and wine tasting experience.
