Complete Tour and Organic Wine Tasting at Fattoria Bellavista di Casignano in Chianti

Your experience at Fattoria Bellavista di Casignano begins with a walk through the estate's finest Sangiovese vineyard. Here, your guide – the owner, a family member, the winemaker, or a sommelier – will explain the principles of organic viticulture, the terroir, and the Chianti regulations. The tour continues through an olive grove before heading into the winery to learn about the vinification and aging process, including a taste of wine directly from the barrel.

The visit also covers the estate's social commitment, which includes a collaboration with a social cooperative for disadvantaged people. You will see the Orciaia, where ancient terracotta pitchers from Impruneta are preserved, and the historic Vinsantaia, a rare space dedicated to the grape drying process and the storage of precious 'caratelli' (small barrels) dating back to the 1960s.

The experience concludes with a guided tasting of four organic wines: one rosé, Villa di Sotto Rosato Toscana IGT; two red wines, Chianti Colli Fiorentini DOCG and Poggio Fecondo Rosso Toscana IGT; and one sweet dessert wine, Vin Santo del Chianti DOC. The wines are served with a platter of Tuscan salami, fresh and aged pecorino, spicy gorgonzola, olive pâté, olives, tomatoes, and bread, along with a tasting of the farm's extra virgin olive oil.

Depending on the season, the tasting is held in the air-conditioned tasting room or outdoors under the olive trees.
