Cooking Class & Lunch with the Contini Bonacossi family at Tenuta di Capezzana
Here is what's in store for you
Founded by Countess Elisabetta Giustiniani, wife of Ugo Contini Bonacossi, Tenuta di Capezzana's cooking school was created with the aim of safeguarding and passing on the passion for traditional Tuscan cuisine.
The Chef of the Capezzana Estate will illustrate the fundamental concepts of Tuscan cuisine, based on the use of extra virgin olive oil and seasonal vegetables; he will assist you in the preparation of dishes derived from Tuscany's oldest culinary tradition, revealing recipes dating back as far as the Medici era.
Your day will be structured as follows:
9:45 am: Good morning! Welcome reception inside the wine shop and welcome coffee
10:00 am: Meet the Chef! Move to the family kitchen inside the Villa Medicea to meet the Chef who will accompany you throughout the day.
10:15 am: Put on your aprons! Once arrived in the kitchen, you will prepare 4 seasonal dishes together, all typical Tuscan. You'll prepare two appetizers, a first course, a main course with a side dish, and a dessert. While cooking you will also taste some Capezzana wines.
1:00 pm: Everyone to the table! Once finished in the kitchen, you will take a seat in the dining room where you'll enjoy the lunch you prepared paired with some more wines from the estate, all in the company of some members of the Contini Bonacossi family.
