Frascati is a town in the Lazio region, just 20 km south of Rome, it's part of the so-called Roman Castles or "Castelli Romani"; a cluster of towns located a short distance southeast of Rome at the lowlands of the Alban hills.
You'll reach the Castelli Romani area in a 30-minute drive from Rome along the famous Appian Way. The magic and enchanting town of Castel Gandolfo, a small medieval village and summer residence of the Pope, will be waiting for you. Frascati is also famous for its cuisine and white wine, both of which you'll get a taste of with this tour. You will stop in Frascati to enjoy a typical light lunch consisting of a roasted pork meat sandwich, accompanied by a glass of wine and a strawberry cake.
